The Institution
Two pillars that keep marginalised narratives alive - and reach the people they are about.
Two Pillars
Preserve and research marginalised narratives. Consent-first capture, ethnographic context, and academic contribution that strengthen the value of the material.
Explore The ArchiveDecomplexify the Archive so its historic and artistic relevance reaches non-academic audiences. Educate and circulate - Ambient Intelligence is the discipline used here.
Explore The CommunityPhilosophy
Consent-first preservation. We do not extract. Every scan, recording, and digital artefact is created with the explicit consent of the community it belongs to. Cultural authority remains with the source - always.
Community authority. The people who created these narratives decide how they are stored, interpreted, and shared. We provide the tools and infrastructure; communities provide the governance.
Cultural continuity. Preservation is not about freezing the past in amber. It is about ensuring that living traditions have the infrastructure to evolve on their own terms - passed forward, not locked away.
From The Institution
Museums, universities, communities, civic bodies - every partnership funds the preservation of the next marginalised narrative.
