Ambient Objects
Ambient Objects are where preserved heritage becomes tangible again. Born from Institution research and partner craft, each object carries cultural provenance in a form you can hold, display, and share.
From 3D-printed artefact replicas to NFC-tagged sculptures that unlock oral histories: these are not souvenirs. They are cultural instruments that close the loop between digital preservation and physical presence.
Capabilities
Museum-grade reproductions from photogrammetry scans - scaled, textured, and annotated.
Physical objects embedded with NFC chips linking to provenance records and oral histories.
Archival-quality prints that reveal hidden digital layers through a phone camera.
Jewellery and accessories informed by heritage patterns, each piece traceable to its cultural origin.
Curated collections combining physical artefacts, printed research, and digital access codes.
Every Ambient Object ships with a digital certificate linking to its source archive.
Every Ambient Object begins in the archive. The Institution identifies heritage material with strong narrative potential (a mask, a textile pattern, an architectural fragment) and translates that research into a physical production pipeline with its production partners.
The result is an object that carries its own context. Scan the NFC tag and hear the elder who described its significance. Point your phone at the print and watch the landscape it came from unfold. Each piece is both a standalone artwork and a gateway to deeper cultural engagement.
Revenue from Ambient Object sales feeds directly back into the preservation cycle: funding the next field expedition, the next community recording, the next digital archive.
Have heritage material that deserves a physical form? We design and produce cultural objects that carry provenance, context, and craft.
