Immersive Installations
Immersive Installations are the spatial expression of Ambient Intelligence. Heritage material preserved by the Institution becomes a walk-through experience: environments where visitors do not observe culture but inhabit it.
From projection-mapped gallery walls to room-scale spatial computing environments driven by LiDAR-scanned heritage sites, each installation is designed to make cultural knowledge felt, not just seen.
Capabilities
Room-scale installations using LiDAR-mapped heritage sites as navigable 3D worlds.
Large-format projections that transform gallery walls and public spaces into living cultural canvases.
Spatial audio landscapes driven by oral history recordings.
AR and VR layers that augment physical exhibition spaces with digital context.
Real-time visual systems that respond to audience presence and cultural calendar events.
Scent, temperature, and haptic elements choreographed alongside digital media.
Each installation starts with source material from the Institution: point clouds of heritage sites, volumetric captures of cultural performances, oral history recordings indexed by theme and geography. The Institution then designs a spatial narrative around this material, in-house or with production partners.
Production spans hardware specification, software development, and physical fabrication. We work with venue teams on acoustic treatment, lighting rigs, and visitor flow, ensuring the technology disappears and the culture comes forward.
After opening, every installation is documented and its digital assets are archived, feeding back into the preservation cycle. The experience does not end when the exhibition closes; it becomes source material for the next generation of cultural work.
Have a venue, a collection, or a cultural narrative that deserves a spatial experience? We design, build, and install from concept to opening.
